This village is also where you will see the Air Panas, natural hot springs.
There are three pools, in the highest one the water is hot.
The hot water is considered sacred by the locals.
There are changing rooms and a restaurant.
It is all set in beautiful tropical foliage.
There were several tourists and locals there the day that we stopped.

Brahma Vihara Ashrama is a Buddhist monastery built in 1970 by a local brahman.
It is Bali's only monastery. It is in quite a prettysetting with viewsdown the valley and across the rice fields.
It has an orange roof, statues of Buddha, and interesting stone artwork which reminds you of Thailand.
There were a few worshipers around the complex while we were there but it was a very quiet place with no hawkers. Only vendor was a place to buy soft drinks and water after you left the monastery.
