A beautiful and natural panorama with moderate temperature has a number of visitors from domestic and foreign tourists to catch a view of a unique and spectacular sulfuric crater. The summit area of Kaba volcano contains three high peaks - Bukit Kaba, Bukit Itam (1893 m) and Bukit Malintang (1713 m). Vapors incessantly come out from 12 fissures in the earth and hot water springs are found in the vicinity. Of the three craters, one is still active. The area covers 13.490 hectares as it is proposed for tourism development.
For those who like mountain climbing, this crater complex is in the sulfurous mountains at 1937 m above sea level.
It’s possible to climb Bukit Kaba from various directions, but the two most popular routes are the regular track and the jungle track which starts from behind the POKDARWIS shelter. If the climb begins at the POKDARWIS shelter, it’s around 2 hours climb to the top via the regular track if you are feeling energetic, or you can take the jungle track for getting a more beautiful view and a more adventurous trip. The jungle track is shorter than the regular track, but it’s very unwise to attempt the climb alone via the jungle track. People are advised to take a guide or join a climber group. You can take a guide at the POKDARWIS shelter for Rp. 50,000.
You must fill in a visitor book at the shelter before the climb begins. Admission is Rp. 5,000 for foreign tourist and Rp. 1,000 for domestic tourist.
If you are not sure that you are strong enough to hike, you can take ojek (motorbike that takes passengers) at Simpang Pasar to the top via the regular track for Rp. 30,000 (one way) or Rp. 60,000 (return trip).

Suban has nice cool air with a nice view. It is good for bathing of the source of natural hot water and. The hot springs bubble out at some public bathing pools and also in many other spots mixed with the cool water which comes from the stream. The hot springs and waterfall at Suban are popular with local weekend picnickers.
The hot springs are good for aching muscles after climbing hills. Near by the place, there are waterfalls on top and bottom of the small river's current. Foreign tourists, especially white people that locally known as "bule" may be stared at by locals at very open baths. Alternatively, if you are not comfortable to be stared at by locals at very open bath, you can pay Rp 3,000 for a more private bath room which also has warm water runs from the hot springs. The ideal time to visit is during the dry season from March to September. But unfortunately Suban lacks adequate facilities.
Admission to the main gate is Rp. 1,000 and another Rp. 1,000 at every spot you want to enter.
