Luggage and bags: Locks for your luggage – it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Probably one of the most important items, and one that most people forget, is a hat, the Bengkulu sun is relentless. Sunglasses are also essential, and do not forget sunscreen lotion.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Dentals floss, shaving cream and tampons are hard to find, so bring your own.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Don forget mosquito repellent, flash light, etc.

Luggage and bags: Waterproof bags & locks for your luggage – it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: In Bengkulu province and in most part of Sumatra, the wet season falls between October and April, the wettest months in Bengkulu province are January and February that can make travel more difficult. The weather is still hot and more humid in the coastal areas, but at higher elevations tend to be cooler. The January to February rains can come in sudden tropical downpours, and or it can also rain nonstop for a whole day. Read up on the local weather to find out what the climate's like where you’re going, and pack accordingly.
Bring plenty of socks to wear while wearing shoes, folding umbrella, a light waterproof rain jacket (heavy plastic raincoat might be too warm for the humid tropics), long pants and/or jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sturdy boots and sandals/flip flops.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo.
Photo Equipment: Extra batteries and SD cards, in case you go someplace where you can’t buy replacement stocks. Don't forget to bring zip lock bags (for use in protecting your camera equipment, etc).
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Mosquito repellent.
Miscellaneous: Anti malaria tablets if going rural, analgesic pills, antihistamine pills for any allergic reactions. Hope it helps.
