..When visiting this amazing site of Borobodur whether it be for a sunrise or a sunset viewing, ALWAYS carry and use a strong Mosquito repellant.. Due to the adverse heat and its tropical location the mosquito problems are prevelant. Always use a good repellant..Early mornings and evenings are the worst time for mosquitos and when most are active. Wear loose fitting light clothing with long sleeves and long trousers..Cover all exposed skin with a strong mosquito repellant..Don't forget your ears!!! Mosquito borne viruses from mosquitos are Dengue fever and encephylitis..these are very dangerous viruses.
When travelling in these tropical or equatorial states it is so important to carry sufficient fresh water for the day. Due to the constant heat and humidity it is sometimes amazing at just how much water you will drink just replacing body fluid losses due to the extreme heat.
I ALWAYS make sure that before setting out for the day as it usually includes lots of walking / hiking I have with me enough fresh bottled drinking water for the day.as most of these sites in South East Asia are in very isolated locations.
Also be careful when purchasing bottled water that the screw cap on the bottle is unbroken and NOT a refill with ordinary unclean tap water. This happened to me unfortunately and created many days of bad stomach problems.
A wide brimmed hat and a good pair of sunglasses here is a must !..
SO ALWAYS BE AWARE
