SHADOWTHEATRE is a people entertainment, cheap and easy. Not required to wear a Bow and monkey jacket to attain the theatre or Broadway. The villegers as a audience came by wearing a *sarong*, carry a kids, husband, wife, grandma & pa and youngsters all are * jammed * there. Normally is free, if the villeagers invited the high class player/ group, may be they charge less then USD 1.00. To this villeagers, this is a sole entertainment....no Rock Band, Night Clubbing or Great Disco.

The great thing about this shadowtheatre, the music group consists of 10/12 persons but the player just a lone.
Having kind of multy skill to remember the story script, easily changes his voice into 5/6 types to suit with the act that hold that time....the same time his two hand will playing with two charactors. The player, Indonesian called DALANG....musician at the back will follow closely to the Dalang. Suspense, Romantic and Humor are depending on the skill of Dalang and musician.

Bandung is more cultured than Jakarta. They are generally more friendly and polite. Maybe that's because of their daily life that's not as stressful as Jakarta. Tipping is not necessary, but it would be greatly appreciated by the waiters as they dont have big salary.

Becareful when the Sundanese people speak their language you might mistaken them by French language ..he..he..he.., Just Kidding of course !! Sundanese language is very slow and full of rhytms, cute intonations. I am a sundanese, but I can't speak my language....too bad !
