Juanda national park
Up from Bandung there is a nature reserve called Hutan Juanda (Juanda Nature Reserve). It is located up from Dago.
Walk and breathe the clean air in the reserve. There are also a couple of man-made caves under the cliff rock. They used to be a hideaway of the Japanese and the Dutch soldiers during their occupation in Indonesia a long time ago.

- Budget Travel
Visit Ciwidey about 2 1/2 hour drive south of Bandung. The winding road takes you through small villages, padi fields and as you approach the final destination are small plots of strawberry farms. The park will charge a nominal entrance fee and you need to drive up for another 5 - 10 minutes to reach the rim of the sulphurous crater. Forget the egg boiling ritual you probably did in Tangkuban Perahu. Over here you just sit back and enjoy the cool view of the landscape, or maybe savour the surprisingly sweet locally grown strawberries you bought along the way or at the huts in the vicinity of the parking lot.
if you go to bandung from jakarta through cipularang highway, you'll see the old railway.
it's built by the dutch during the colonial time, probably at the end of 19th century or at the beginning of 20th century.
it's still ised until now and if you go to bandung from jakarta, you'll pass it.

Bosscha Observatorium in Lembang
Bosscha Observatorium, formerly known as Bosscha Sterrewacht, is one of the important observatoriums in the Southern Hemisphere. It was built from 1923 to1928 by Nederlandsch-Indische Sterrenkundige Vereeniging (NISV) or Dutch Indies Star Association. In 1951, the observatorium was handed over to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Indonesia University. In 1959, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) was established, and Bosscha Observatorium became a part of it.
The observatorium is located in Lembang, about 15 kilometres North from Bandung, 1310 metres above the sea level or 630 metres from Bandung plateau. The name is taken from its biggest sponsor, Karel Albert Rudolf Bosscha (1865-1928), who was a landlord who had a tea plantation in Malabar area.

Angklung is Sundanse musical instrument made from bamboo pipes, differing in length and pitch, fixed loosely to a small wooden frame and shaken to produce sound. A full Angklung orchestra is sometimes made up of more than 20 musicians playing traditional – as well as internationally known tunes. If you plan to travel to...
If you plan to travel to Bandung by car, you should go from (lets say Jakarta) really early in the morning, and go Bandung via Puncak. By breakfast time, find this one place which has a cow statue in front. Can't remember where exactly. I'll update this page again very soon. They have nice yoghurt drinks, some 'roti bakar' or toasted bread filled with jam, chocolate, cheese, etc. They also have Fried rice, chicken porridge. Yum,.... very cheap. You can get good breakfast for less than $1 - 1.5 per person.
Standing near active crater!
Mount Tangkuban Perahu is a smoldering 2000-meters wide, surrealistic volcano 1800-meters above sea level. Standing on an active Crater near the boiling water jetted out of ground is probably something unusual.
It is located about twenty-nine kilometers from Bandung
