It's just a typical food court...except everything here is served almost freshly cooked. When they send food to you...their still hot. Most importantly...the place is clean, service is fast n prices very cheap.
To those spending time at Pasar Baru Bandung...you might consider having lunch here n then continue shopping.
Favorite Dish: My favorite food was its Nasi Timbel...a sundanese food. Drinks I love was es jeruk...it's Indonesian style of orange juice...really tasty.

Most ppl in Bandung will suggest u to try this place. I wasn't so sure what's so special about it till I actually got there. I was so impressed. The place is like a forest... a more nicely arranged forest n everything here blends together. Everything is so green...n there're also weird looking plants around this place. The eating area consists of numerous huts of various sizes, located all over. You can choose huts with the hill view, streams or even waterfall.
The place is open for lunch n of course dinner. I was there for lunch. Ppl say the place is even marvellous during dinner. They said its so romantic at night...well, perhaps on the next visit.
Favorite Dish: I haven't tried all of the dishes. I had this 'gurame bakar with sambal kicap n steam rice'... really nice. Gurame is a type of fish...they gave me a quite big size gurame.
I supposed going here is more for the atmosphere n the ambiance rather than the food. However, I enjoyed both...its ambiance n also the food. Most importantly for a place like this...I was so surprised that the food prices were very reasonable. So, Kampung Daun is really a must place to go in Bandung.

Favorite Dish: Food stall culture - like most Asian countries, Bandung is full of food stall, where you can find the very best of Indonesian delicacies. The price is quite cheap but of course there are plenty of up market restaurant in Bandung cities.

it's a restaurant with a peaceful and tranquile atmosphere.
located up on the mountain on the outskirt of bandung with the road to get there full of people selling flowers.
the restaurant is very famous and almost always full so if you come during the weekend (especially at night) probably it's not easy to get seat.
your table is in small pavillions connecting with path with ponds and roof like trees around.
kampung daun means village of leaves and you can really feel that way there :)
Favorite Dish: we tried sop buntut bakar & nasi bakar sambal belut.

I only had several meals which are Sundanese - my impression was there is always the Gurame (tilapia fresh water fish) which they artfully slice the fish whole and deep fried it. And also lots of barbeque food like bbq sate - which was to my surprise was bbq minced fish eaten best with sweet dark soya sauce. And there was always a fried chicken which we dunk into delicious sambal - very potent. And there was also lots of steamed and then grilled again food in banana leaf - like we had pepes taufu - pepes duck egg etc. There was many variety of salad like things - which were sweetish as well. very delicious eaten with white rice, or even their red rice

I recommend for a nice meal of Padang cuisine.
This is south Sunda food where once you are seated the waiter will bring to you many many small plates of dishes to accompany rice. You feast on the plates that you have eaten and will be charged accordingly. You can sample a variety of spicy curries - there was fish cutlets and chicken curry as well as you can orer Fish head curry. There was other stuff like fried calamari, fried chicken, steamed chicken and veggies as well. There was beef rendang as well.
My husband also have drinks like avocad - which is blened avocado with chocolate sauce - ultra smooth and sweetish...and very filling.
