    Rumah Mode: Best bargain

by caprina Written Apr 6, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Full of shoppers.. Rumah Mode is the best factory outlet in Bandung, highly recomended. Better for you to spare your shopping hours at Rumah Mode rather than the Cihampelas Walk.. For me.. visit to cihampelas walk or commonly known as ciwalk is just a normal visit.. maybe the goods offered is not up to my expectation.. at rumah mode you can but many branded cloth such as Nike, Replay, Burberry, Billabong, and many more and the lowest price.. you can expect branded jeans to be priced around USD10.. never find such deal elsewhere..

Many shopping outlets along the street...: Shop Along Dago Street

by traveldream Written Feb 7, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Jalan Juanda a.k.a. Dago has many women's/men's/children's clothing outlets along the street. You can either start from Lower Dago (Holiday Inn hotel) or Upper Dago (the other end of the street - an intersection). It's nice to walk when the weather is nice - not hot, that is.

What to buy: They are mostly clothes (Rich&Famous, Uptown, etc.), also footwear (Edward Forrer) and other accessories.

What to pay: From Rp 20,000 and up for a piece of clothes. Current exchange rate: US$1 = +/- Rp 9,800.

    Renaritti...

Like other factory outlet...Renaritti also sells men, women and children wear. It's a two-storey factory outlet located at Jl. Riau. Opposite Renaritti is Heritage, Oasis, Branded Club, The Secret and many more. They are all quite close to each other...walking is definitely possible.

    The Summit

The Summit, located at Jl. Riau...just like other factory outlet sells the same thing. However, it's still worth the visit because different factory outlets may have different brands, quality and also style. Some may be very up to date...some may not. So, it's best to browse around.

well, the shopping outlets is everywhere spreading in bandung. but not until you try this one, the cihampelas walk.the area is surrrounded by trees, and the design is superb. it combines outer and inner beauty landscape. it's like a touch of america in there, a bit of europe blended also. i think it's the only one arcade in indonesia, combined of modern art and beautiful landscape together makes an enjoyable environment.

so whenever you visit city of bandung, known as "paris van java", don't miss this place...!!

What to buy: well, i suggest foods, it's enchanting experience since the foods comes with various taste.

What to pay: u might as well spend US$ 100, that's quite enough.

Uptown, Heritage, Cascade, Rumah Mode: Many Factory Outles

    by Audrey118 Written Nov 12, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There are one too many factory outlets - open daily till late, and it can be very very crowded. I had local friends who drove us from one outlet to another - they sell factory run off, rejects etc and possibly the dump ground for overrunds as well.

Prices are cheap cheap - you get all kinds of brands -some made in Indonesia, others in Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei etc. we saw lots of Gap, Guesss, Cherokee.

Some of the outlets are better managed - larger with nice aircondtioning - like at Heritage - prices are higher and the lay out is like a nice upper end departmental store and it has even a Japanese noodle bar upstairs - which serves very yummy banana fritters - banana katsu.

At Rumah Mode is also very nice - it has lots of good selection of clothing - and also has a nice lunch place - Bumbu Desa.

China Emporium: Bandung, City of Factory Outlets

by uleqan Updated Jan 10, 2004

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Bandung is the heaven of Factory Outlets. There are hundreds of them in the city. Some are next to each other, three to four shops. They sell mostly women's and men's clothes.

This particular one is unique. Other FOs don't have any theme to its shop. Its just one building filled with clothes, local or imported goods/

China emporium sells things that has something to do with china, from furniture, clothes, small souvenirs and old chinese posters. It 's always busy especially on weekends and most busy on Sunday around lunch time.

Most of the visitors are from Jakarta. But people from other parts of Java treat this FO as a tourist object in Bandung. Sometimes you can see big tourist busses outside the building. And if you see this, don't bother getting in to the shop. Too crowded....

    Cihampelas Street: Nothing There

    by Lyda1973 Written May 12, 2006
    Cihampelas Street - Bandung
    3 more images

Here, they ask you to write what makes it so especial. Well, my answer is: NOTHING!!!. Cihampelas is a horrible, dirty, awfully ugly place where sell ordinary and old fashion clothes, specially jeans.
Some stores have a dummy, (Rambo, spider man...) but they are old and not even that make the street better.
