IKAT weaving is a warp-faced fabric and, in Indonesia the word for an ancient technique known in many parts of Asia which became, through wide usage, the generic term for all weavings of this type.

What to buy: If you find some time head for the Tosari market, close to the Bromo Cottages. Maybe you'll get overwhelmed by "touristic garbage", though think this area is upmost unique and originally made by Tenggerese people. You won't be able to buy some products somewhere else! This Tenggerese IKAT is very soft, with beautiful colors and packed in small lovely bags.

What to pay: I don't think the price was that heigh, I bought a lot of those bags and stupied me ... I granted a lot of friends these lovely IKAT's. I payed about 20$ each ...
