Crazy about the Ikat-method (special hand weaving, Ikat is a warp-faced fabric in which all the colours are applied to the warp yarns by a multi-stage, tie-dye resist method prior to weaving) I went for an Ikat-look at Labuhan Bajo. I heard about Sumbawa Ikat's traders brought to Labuhan Bajo, so a good chance.
What to buy: So lucky I found the beautiful red Ikat from Sumbawa (see pic). The seize is of a big shawl, and when wearing the Ikat material is growing more beautiful. At Ende I was able to buy the black Ikat from Sumba (see link). So if you're lucky bring a wonderful ikat home ...
What to pay: About 8$, and can tell you the same Ikat product in the Netherlands costs about 150$ !!!

One of the most frustration things about travelling in Indonesia is "jam karet" (rubber time), timetables are not to be trusted when you are travelling on decided when you depart and noone else.
