Luggage and bags:
A backpack and a rucksack small size. You have to hang your luggage in the middle of the sleepingroom, because of the rats! Trekking around take as little as possible ... and bring a bottle of water!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
It is dry and hot! Lightweight clothing will be more comfortable to wear. Shorts/t-shirts for places to be (a sarong is great), but you need long trousers, long-sleeved blouse for the jungle (because of the insects). Bathing-suits, sand shoes (thornbacks all over), walking shoes, a hat/cap, sunglasses and an extra towel can be grateful.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
You'll need insect spray, food supplies, bottle of water, stomach upset (Nourid, Gastrolyte), headache & malaria-pills, obat nyamuk (burning stick for the mosquitos and other insects), nutmeg-balm (like tiger balm stop the itching when you get biten, is even better), make yourself a small first Aid Kit (included scissors), toilet-paper/tissues, citronella (kind of lotion, you can put that on your skin, in the hair, bed, all insects dislike lemon) ... oh, a torch is needed and, madame,... bring tampons (blood-smell is dangerous!)
Photo Equipment:
Your favourite tested photo-equipment as usual, extra a telephoto lens (80 mm will do, 200 mm is better), underwater photo-equipment, bring extra battries, and digital memory, an adaptor you'll gonna need!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear:
Essential is sun-protections/suntan lotion, sand shoes, mosquito-net (most sleeping-places do have these, though not that new or broken), and for sure an electric torch (or matches for in the pitch darkness), towel, and don't forget your snorkeling equipment, sleeping-bag (if you're used to it)
Miscellaneous:
A forked stick,... this will help you a lot! Good information is your best friend, and crossing the border that information IS the border. So watch the locals, ask around and look in their toko's, warung (shops).
Luggage and bags:
Backpack and daypack. I brought a 75 lt backpack and a small daypack. You can leave your backpack on the boat and carry only the necessary stuffs in your daypack while you're trekking around Komodo Island.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Shorts & shirts. Trekking shoes, sandals. It can get a bit cold at nite. light jacket is needed.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
Toilet paper, personal medical supplies.
Photo Equipment:
Digital Camera (with casing if you wanna take pics underwater which is definitely a must), Cam corder. Tripod.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear:
Sleeping bag, snorkeling gear, torch & extra batteries.
Miscellaneous:
Books, Monopoly / cards / any games to kill time at nite coz there are no TV shows !! it's also useful to bring Nusa Tenggara Map coz you know where you're located.
