If you start your trip from Jakarta, just take a DAMRI bus from Gambir train station (near to Monas). Buy the ticket there, about IDR 100,000 - 150,000, no phone reservation allow. The bus will take you from Gambir station to Tanjung Karang station, Bandar Lampung. The simple way to reach Bandar Lampung.Or if you challenge yourself to take a real public transport to Lampung, you have to take a bus to Merak port, from any bus station in Jakarta, about IDR15,000 - 25,000 (depending from which bus station you start). When arrive at Merak Port, buy a ticket of ferry boat to Bakauheni Port, its only IDR 10,000 - 15,000. Just ignore some people who offering you ticket. Dont be afraid you'll miss the ticket. There's a lot of ferry boat to take you to Bakauheni. And please be aware of your bag.Arrive in Bakauheni port, you can take bus to Rajabasa bus station (IDR 20,000). Bus start to operate...

If you have plan to Lampung province, From Jakarta you go by Bus, wether it is from Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, or From Kalideres Bus Terminal, or if you start from Tangerang of Banten Province, you can take a Bus"ARIMBI' in which tey have their own terminal at Cikokol Tangerang. all to the Destination of Merak Sea Port at Banten Province.Another way is By Train from Jakrta KOta Station with the destination to Merak Sea Port. From Merak Seaport Of Banten Province you can take a big Ferry Ship(it take about three hours with the economy class ticket no more than Rp.10,000,-) or a Jet foil speed Boat(take about 40 minutes with the ticket price about Rp.30,000,-). with the Destination of Bakau Heni Sea Port, from here to Bandar Lampung you can go by Bus, or collective Van Dive Taxi which with this taxi will deliver you to the address of your destination
