Avoid rainy season - right travel time to Maluku
by ullfri49
Indonesia is in the tropical belt of the earth- and so special the Maluku area. So it is good to mention the weather for right travel time, special in the outer Islands. At Ambon and roundup islnds is usual a rainfall every day.But in Maluku, Ambon from end of May until end of August will be sometimes stronger amount of rain than usual (3 times more comparing with december to april). The rainy season is connected with higher waves in Banda sea and around the Lease islands!See at photo at northcoast Saparua at December is only a little west wind, just short before rain. In the rainy season the sea waves ("ombak ombak besar") goes with shure much higher. In Juli August the people usually not able to take little boats like the perahu at photo. And at some days in that raintime it is said is not able to go with ferries between the islands.
On the way in little Islands like Pulau Saparua
by ullfri49
On the way in Maluku with the so much greater and little islands is one times easy and one times difficult, so the main transport from and outside Ambon is with ship- and so much people use the ship or the ferry to visit relatives or for going shopping. So even the Saparua is only a little islands, and no wonder that much people go for shopping with ferry to near great Ambon. If you need so from a multistore, so it is shure an good advice to take an "oto" and to look for it in Saparua town in the center of Saparua island. But if you look for some water or to eat on the road or at ferry there are mostly no problem - see here the Photo at Haria harbour short before starting to Ambon.
