Try to visit the nice coast villages in Saparua
by ullfri49
It is very interesting and other view quite easy to visit the villages in northwest, in southwest and in the southeast of pulau Saparua. Simply take an anggota and so it is easy able to go around- but it is maybe a good idea to rent a anggota starting from kota Saparua- better if you want to stop while on the way. Here the Entrance Door of the village in southeast. If I remember right, it is the village the desa Ouw.The earthenware of the entrance door remembers at the pottery there - this old ancient art is today only done in the village Ouw. Maybe cause of the needed pottery earth there is foud only near the Ouw mountains. (To the pottery See more in the VT -Pulau Saparua remarks)At the second Photo is the nearby Baileo in the village. Nearly every village of Saparua has a Baileo. The Baileo is from ancient time the community centre of an Saparuan village.

Nice travel around Ambon Bay
by ullfri49
It is easy and allows nice views if take the street around Ambon Bay for sightseeing. It also allows short tours left to mountain area - so to Simalima Museum, Batu Chapeo, to Gunung Nona, and over the hills to Pinto Kota and last but not least to sandy Santai Beach at the south west coast, at the deep blue Banda sea,and a diving station near Latuhalat.Take a little bus or better a rented car with driver- so it will allow to make stops for some good photos or simply for to sit and enjoy the view over the bay or the coast. See the photo at late sunny Sunday morning, much people and familys are on the way, maybe to there and there, and around the winding south coast beachroad gives nice views under palm trees, and one likes to stop for a break, to see the Skyline of "Ambon Manisè..."- see second photo.

Nossa Senhora da Annunciada fortress
by jorgejuansanchez
This is a historic fortress erected by the Portuguese in the XVI century from where you will enjoy excellent views of the island. At the beginning of the XVII century the Dutch conquered the place, removed the Portuguese, destroyed part of the fortress, made some reforms, and called it Victoria. It is located in Soya Ata, Ambon Baguala, at about 15 kilometres from Ambon (also known as Amboina) and in the last metres you have to walk up until the top.Besides the fortress there is a school in which walls you can notice a bust of Saint Francisco Javier, the Spanish Jesuit who evangelized Japan and the Far East (his tomb is in Goa, India).
