Most of the nightlife...

by sandravdp

Most of the nightlife concentrates itself in Kuta. Many discos and bars are to be found here. In the more quiet place Sanur at the beach are not many discos, but many life music and night dances to be seen and heard. On the picture: the nightly firedance.

Bali

by xaver

The best spot for night life is probably Bali at least if you are interested in all the night life activites you are used to. Not that Jakarta or Ygya do not offer any place where to dance or else, it's just that Bali is the most touristically developed, so it is definitly the place for nightlife.

Ramayana Ballet

by Sharrie

My friend Geraldine and I happened to visit Yogya during the dry season and were lucky enough to attend the performances (only 4 successive nights; twice each month from May to Oct. yearly) of the Ramayana Ballet held at the outdoor theatre in Prambanan and it certainly is the most spectacular dance-drama I've ever seen. With the Shiva Temple as a backdrop, the 3-hr ballet performance from 7-10pm comprised of more than 100 dancers and gamelan musicians taking part in a spectacle depicting the story of Rama, a gentle husband, a kindly king and his wife Sita.

by super_fly

As Sanur was my home base for the six months I stayed there, I am well versed on the places to in the area.*Mango Bar and Restaurant* - SanurBut it was not my only frequented establishment and watering hole. There were a few others:*Lazer Sport* - sanur*Speak Easy* - sanur*Apache Reggae Bar* - KutaMango Bar - Maybe it's for sentimental reasons, but Mango Bar on the beach, (not to be confused with the Mango cafe on Jl. Tamblingen), was my favourite. I spent the best new year's eve I have ever had.. EVER. Live music every night except sunday, pool table.Lazer Sport - monday and Friday nights. Two good bands. Michael's band 'Soul Rebel' on the Monday and Gusde's band '..well actually I have no clue what the band name is'. Great bartenders. Pool table, sports on the big screen... but no hockey (bastards!! - I blame ESPN)Speakeasy - very casual but at the same time if you'd just gone out to...

by vink_id

You can find Caffes all over Jakarta map. Hardrock, O'Reillys at Grand Hyatt hotel, Tanamur discotheque, Go to Hailai karaoke ... and most of amusement center you can find them around Mangga Besar area. Neat and Tidy, no sport shoes. Semi formal.

by ukirsari

Jakarta has so many place for clubbing. From international sense (like Hard Rock Cafe and News Cafe) 'till specific cafes --like Cafe Pisa (Italiano), Hasara (Indian), Salsa (Brazil), Star Deli (US and European), Ya Udah (Germany) and De Bugil's (Dutch). With international sense, we can meet people from all over the world. Also the specific ones. The differences are about the food and beverages also the atmosphere. The most I like is ... Hasara. If you like playing 'Jenga', I will ask you to have a big fight with me! Jenga just like 'lego' but made from wooden in small pieces. We have to build them by take the pieces, one-by-one then put it to the top. We have to be concentrated or the building will fallin' abruptly.

Dinner by sea side. There are several places by the beach where you can have dinner but The Oberois was something which overwhelmed us. They lights up the sea at night and it looks amazing. Much better than what we see in the picture here.

yeah_baby's Nightlife Tip

by yeah_baby

When the sun sets, the choices are still hard to make - a quiet romantic moon lit dinner or watch the spectacular Balinese Fire Dance or Kecak Dance. For those that want to party, Bali has it all with bars, discos and nightclubs.
