by BorderHopper

After several nights of dancing with short and stubby Batak girls I decided to give it a rest and chill ot in the lobby of Carolinas with my Spanish friends Juan and Esther from Barcelona. We entertained ourselves with loads of Bintang Beer (the local brew by Heinikein) and board games. Believe it or not I had more fun with them than the long haired, short & stout Batak beauty we called Leena!!! Pictured L to R:Juan, Esther, me, and Alex.Beer, food, and CNN. Whatever pleases you.

The Ramayana Ballet...

by SueRivet

The Ramayana Ballet performance not to be missed! If you are staying in Yogyakarta, as many tourists do, there is a nightly show in town. The ballet is like nothing I have ever seen before, very precise and beautiful, and the accompanying gamelan music is eerie to western ears. There is also a Ramayana Ballet at the Prambanan temple 2-4 times a week, depending on season. Please note that this is a cultural feast not just for western tourists; probably 90% or more of the audience was Indonesian. Foreigners are charged more for the performance (I think it cost $10), but are given the choicest center seats. (This made me feel very silly, as I was the first foreigner to arrive, and was seated in the center of NOONE; it was very odd!)

by Arubasun.

When the sun goes down it is party time in Bali. Every day there is music at a club. All of the clubs in Bali are located in Kuta Beach Resort area. In downtown Kuta mainroad you will find Sari Club which is opened every day until 2:00am in the morning. Accross of the Sari Club you have Paddies which is also opened every day until 3:00am in the morning. When both of these club are closed the crowds usually head to Club 66 which is a club located next to the Beach and is opened every day until 6:00am.Sari Club is a very much laid back club it is extremely warm in the club so you will see many people swetting. You should try Jungle Juice drink at Sari, its a mixture of juice and Arak though it is the most popular drink at Sari Club. The music at Sari Club is mixed more 80's type music a bit of rock, house, R&B, Popular rock and current dance hits.Paddies Club is accross the street from...

by Perucha

In Bali go to GADO-GADO and/or DOUBLE SIX at Seminyak. Nobody ever going to Bali without going here! It's a massive place for dancing until dawn with island's best DJs. Located just right on the beach with outdoor Balinese style and a swimming pool to drop your tipsy head down or try 'late night bungy jumping' over the pool! as you want !

Ah, attending the memorable 'White Nights' theme party organized by Club Med here in Bintan. Everyone has to turn up dressed in WHITE... or else you'd be penalized. What's the penalty? I don't know.... The GOs will probably make you jump around like a monkey or something. :-) Photo Below: That's yours truly standing beside the 5ft 10 inches tall Dutch ex-colleague and friend of mine, Rachel B. Isn't she beautiful?

That's my Dutch colleague and friend, Edgare getting ready for a water polo match. It was the GMs (that's us) versus the GOs of Club Med. The score? We lost. :-( The GOs cheated. :-( I mean, they are real pros... how can we ever expect to beat them?!
