If you want to party, go to Kuta Beach on Bali. There are plenty of places to dance and meet other people. Don't expect any local, traditional stuff. The place is loaded with young westerns epescially charter tourists from Australia ( though aussies aren't necessary a bad thing ?!? ). One good place we enjoyed a lot was the Sari Club. Really good atmosphere and choice of music.
In Kuta in Bali, theres plenty of bars...try Paddys irish bar with no irishman in site, not even a pint of guiness but its popular, or the Sari club opposite!On Gili Trawangan, they hold a party every night at a specific location, sometimes on the beach, sometimes at a hotel or bar. It usually the only place to go thats popular. Or if you dont fancy going out drinking, all the bars and restaurants show movies so you can just chill out with some food lazing around on some sofas or pillows!
