It take about 90 minutes by Ferry from Parapat AJIBATA FERRY port to Samosir Island TOMOK Port. In a good weather condition, we can see a magnificent Panorama of a mountain Hill on both side of the ship, a crystal clear blue water of Lake Toba, a fishermen canoe floating on the lake and shuttle boats from Parapat to Samosir island vise versa

Visit ,midway going up the hill to the tomb of King Sidabutar, houses in traditional Batak architecture.
You can find a life-sized puppet there called "Si Gale Gale" which can be moved by levers from behind.
It was said that before Christianity came to Samosir the people practiced Animism and, legend says, they can move those puppets with their minds.

Lake TOBA is a magnificent view when we are at TUK-TUK- Samosir Island, we can also see a picturesQue Panorama of land and water basin , a greenery mountain range and the peoples dwelling are also a highlight of Samosir island

If you take a Boat from PASAR TIGA RAJA, it will stop at one of Samosir island entry point at TUK-TUK wellknown as SILINTONG, it just a few block beside CAROLINA. Silintong is also an accomodation at TUK-TUK, the Port take the name from this Hotel. The Boat crew usually offer the passenger wether they will get off at Carolina, Silintong or Ambarita, the three port are close at each other

The Port in front of CAROLINA is one of an entry point to Samosir Island located at TUK-TUK. It was an entry for Public and Visitor, from here you can explore TUK TUK by Rent a Motor Bike, or Rent a Bycycle and if you will stay at Samosir Island for a few days, you can Book Carolina Hotel or you can take another accomodation which vary in price, or you can even book a home stay which offer by the local peoples

During 30 minutes Boat Ride from Pasar Tiga Raja to Samosir Island's TUK-TUK, the scenery around the lake is a fantastic beauty, the greenery of Mountain Range, Crystal Clear Blue Water. On Board we can see what local peoples bought in the market, vegetables, Live Swine keep in a Sack and other daily necessities

I t take about 30 minutes Boat Ride from PASAR TIGA RAJA ( Three Kings Market) Port at Parapat to Samosir Island. A boat loading passengers which is commonly local peoples who bought their daily need from TIGA RAJA MARKET just located 50 meters from the Port. It was a UniQue transportation means for the peoples and visitors, just get the Boat and the payment is picking while the boat on the way to the island, pay only Rp. 7,000,- ( seven thousand rupiah) and take the top seat to see a beautiful lake and a green mountain range around the lake. Then we got off at Tuk Tuks Carolina Port

Most of the people would, of course, recommend the tomb of the Batak King, the megalithic tables of the "cannibal" King, the hot springs etc... I would definitely recommend to enjoy the company of the locals... find a nice cafe, sit around with them and sing a song.... most of them just love music and harmony. If there is a guitar available ask them to play a tune for you, you will be amazed!

A: Hi, There is no ferry transfer at that time of night. You will need to stay in Parapat for the night and get the morning ferry over to Samosir Island. Sorry cannot help...
