I met a lady , while ride a boat from TIGA RAJA to TUK-TUK, her name is BORU SINAGA and live not far from Carolina port, she offer me to rent her motorcycle to get around Samosir island with cost Rp. 40,000,- for 3 to 4 hours as I only take a one day trip, actually the fare is Rp. 60,000 for a whole day and gasoline is included. It was great experienced and motorcycle is a convenient way to explore the Island which I began from TUK-TUK to AMBARITA head on to TOMOK and then return back to TUK-TUK to get the boat return back to Parapat at 03.00 in the afternoon where the late boat from Tuk-Tuk to Samosir is at 05.00 in the afternoon

Bicycling is an enjoyable one in taking around TUK-TUK and its surrounding, you can rent a bike at one rental shop just near Carolina or Silintong, the fare is bargaining with the basic minimum fare Rp.20,000,- . You can go y bike from Caroina or Silintong and explore TUK-TUK up to AMBARITA where you can see Batak Traditionil House welknown as HUTA SIALLAGAN, the Road was pretty good with a steep hill in a certain point where you can see a magnidicent Panorama of Lake TOBA

    These ferries are just strange!

The ferries from Parapat to Samosir and around are very, well, exotic but what really killed me was the Indonesian pop that pours out from their speakers.
