Bali is very HOT and HUMID. Bring enough clothes since you will be changing very often !Comfortable walking shoes are a must if you plan on touring the temples and jungles. The west coast is very rocky, so bring along running shoes. Bug Spray! Batteries and camera equipment can be found, be sure to bring lots of film. You will need it !

In Bali the weather is very hot and humid. Take light clothes, shorts, confortable shoes or sandals and a hat.Take just a few things, you need space in you luggage for the many things you will buy there. Don't forget to take a high sun protector, mosquito coils and mosquito repellents. You should always carry kleenex with you because you may need them. Before you travel go to a doctor so that he can prescribe you the medicines you might need there. A medical kit is always necessary, painkillers, Immodium. You should also have your tetanus vacination in order.

Sunglass and rubber sandals is a MUST !!!! Malaria prevention: ask for 'PIL KINA' or 'RESOCHIN' in local drug store. You should take this madicine at least 2 weeks before entering mosquito kingdom sites...Or you can ask for 'MINYAK SERAI' (or 'MINYAK SEREH') to prevent mosquito bites. This strong smelly oil guarantee no insect will come close to your skin.
Go light come back heavy. Light clothing as Bali is a tropical island. Good walking shoes, hat and suncreen cream. Oh, and a thong. See note on culture. Good idea to take some Lomotil in case of Bali Belly. Most photo supplies available but may be more expensive than home if traveling from Australia, USA or Europe. Sun screen cream. If you are into surfing some of the best waves are in Bali. Customs officers are getting a bit strict on bringing in too much booze. Be careful and have much fun. Was that a contradiction??
If you come from another country, bring a briefcase or suitcase which can put safely to the cargo in the airplane. Then, added it a backpacking (for daily or more). So you can going around as backpacker without un-necessary stuffs. And in the way home, you can put the things which can not (avoid) to be folded --like paintings or sculpture-- in the briefcase. Jeans, cargo pants, short pants, t-shirt are good choice. Then use sandals or keds (means sport shoes). And 'saroong' to close your short pants because in several places is avoid to use this things.

Bali has climate evenly tropical all year. The average temperature hovers around 30 degrees Celsius year-round. There are dry and wet seasons - dry from April to September and wet from October to March - but it can rain at any time of year and even during the wet season rain is likely to pass quickly. In general May to August are the best months in Bali. At that time of year the climate is likely to be cooler and the rains lightest.

Travel light! Carry some long sleeved clothing for the nights as the mosquitos in this area are malaria carrying. Just make sure that you are carrying plenty of first aid equipment and anti-mosquito products.

Travellers usually tend to take too much. Almost everything is available in Indonesia's main towns and cities, and often at a lower price than in the West. Remoter areas, inevitably, are less well supplied.Suitcases are not appropriate if you are intending to travel overland by bus. A backpack, or even better a travelpack is recommended. Travelpacks have the advantage of being hybrid backpacks-suitcases; they can be carried on the back for easy porterage, but they can also be taken into hotels without the owner being labelled a 'hippy'. In termsof clothing, dress in lndonesia is relatively casual, even at formal functions. Suits are not necessary except in a few of the most expensive restaurants. However, though formal attire may be the exception, dressing tidily is the norm. Women particularly should note that in many areas of Indonesia, they should avoid offending Muslim sensibilities...
