Hey, this is a resort you're going to. So remember, pack light! The bulk of the things you'd need (to wear) can be bought REAL CHEAP in Bintan and Bali itself. Most importantly, don't forget your sarongs and your sunBLOCK lotion. You certainly wouldn't want to return home looking like a baked lobster, do you? :-) Ciao and have fun.

A TABLET OF COLD REMEDIES WILL KEEP YOUR FLU AWAY! Many medicines are available for this: Tylenol, Neozep Cold, Biogesic, Panadol, Biogesic, Decolgen etc. if you catch cold, take much rest and drink hot tea, and this tablet will help you get off your colds.

Motion Sickness drugs. you can bring Phenergan (promethazine) or Dramamine (dimenhydrinate). in case that you forgot to bring motion sickness drugs, you can easily buy 'Antimo' (dimenhydrinate) in most shops and drugstore in indonesia.

several places, such as forested areas, can harm you because of the mosquitos there. just bring your insect repellent (if you forgot to bring it, you can easily find it in indonesia. just look for 'sari puspa' or 'autan' and they will sell it to you in a low price).

eye ointment or eye dropsindonesia's big cities (jakarta, surabaya, semarang, medan, bandung) are sometimes 'full' of smoke, dust, etc. which may disturb you. bring your eye drops (Otrivin, Visine, Cendo-Xitrol (available in indonesia)) or ointment (Albucid, Cetamide, or a Cendo ointment). there are many types of Cendo ointment and eye drops - you can buy it in any pharmacies/drugstore (apotek).

Medical Kitantimalarials. there are several sorts of this. besides primaquine i have described before, you can bring Fansidar or chloroquine (Avlochlor or so) with you, especially for those expecting a prolonged stay in remote areas (irian jaya/papua, kalimantan, and eastern part of sumatra). you might experience stomach upset while taking chloroquine - if so, simply take it immediately after meal. but if you experienced 'yellow fever' or jaundice, then you should stop taking it.if you feel discomfort after using your medicine, consult a physician. Good luck & happy traveling!

antibiotics:-- erythromycin (Erythrocin, or Erysanbe (available in Indonesia) to relief skin infections, severe sore throat, cough with fever). recommended if you expect to stay in remote areas for a long time.-- metronidazole (Flagyl or so - especially for those deciding to travel to remote areas). you may need it for your diarrhea, crampy stomach pain and distension (but if you get diarrhea, try sugar-and-salt packs and adsorbent such as New Diatabs first. if you still don't fill better, try Flagyl or Bactrim).-- Bactrim (cotrimoxazole), can be used in many purposes: diarrhea, skin infections, etc).

indonesia is a tropical country with hot weather, so it is not necessary to bring your jacket. but you can bring it if you are going to Mount Bromo or climbing a mount.during rainy season (November to March) don't forget to bring your umbrella or raincoat. i think it is not imperative to bring medicines in indonesia, unless if you are traveling in forested areas in sumatra, kalimantan, or irian. if so, bring a malaria medicine (usually primaquine - taken from 1 week before departure until 2 week after getting back home). don't drink from uncooked water - it's not safe. and you'd better not to eat home-made chilli ('sambal') or tomato sauce, otherwise you can get stomach ache. but it is OK to have bottled sauce, such as 'saus tomat ABC' etc.

Study Abroad i agree with Krystynn - bring your sunblock lotion if you are going to indonesia, otherwise you'll get sunburned! if you want to have a sunbath at a beach (and you want your skin tanned), choose the one with SPF 6-8. but if you don't want to tan your skin, choose a sunscreen with SPF 15 or more.

Mostly tropical weather so pack light in terms of clothes . We took a huge health risk by not getting injections for this area.Looking back it was a stupid thing to do even though I ended up not getting sick. Its very important to get all your shots for this region such as malaria shots.Check with a travel doctor before you leave home.when there I suggest you have tablets for the runs as changes in diet from what you may be used to back home could ruin your holiday.
