TREKKING TO PAPUA
Hi guys, 2-3 months (if I am not mistaken, a visa issued by immigration office for traveler is only valid for 60 days) is a very nice time for trekking, first you'd better manage the permits to enter some areas over the West Papua and you should get a permit letter from the Police Head office at Jayapura, it is about 30 km from Sentani Airport to the Police office, please ready with your 3X4 photos and then you need to make copies of this permit letter because local police at each of your Papua destination needs a copy of your permit letter. If you are only traveling downtown (Sentani, Jayapura, Sorong, Timika) you could go by yourself, but it would be better by a guide tour.
