At the resort there's very nice SPA.
It is positioned in a way that when you're streched on the massage table, you can enjoy a beautiful sea-view. If you take your massage in the late afternoon, you can enjoy a sun-set also! Very, very relaxing.
The ladies working there are experts, and if you dive they have a special package that will make you relax after your exercises! We had it and after we felt like walking on a soft pillows!
Remember to book the massage in the morning for late alternoon, or after dinner for the morning!
Even if you're not a diver you should go for a visit. Bunaken Marine Park is a couple of our by boat from Gangga and, since the boats the resorts use for this trip are very confortable, you can enjoy a nice "cruise".
For visiting Bunaken a fee must be payed: it is 7 US$. Last year the fee could be payed directly in the resort, but on 2004 it has to be payed on the island Bunaken and it was much better since you got a chance to come onshore a see a little of the village and get in contact with locals, even buy some souvenirs directly from them. But, this was endangering the reef in front of the village and now it is not permitted anymore.
What else to do? Soaking up the sun, geting tanned, swimming, swimming, and swimming on the beautiful beach!
The resort has two restaurants, one of them is entirely built with bamboo used for fish barbeques on theme nights whereas the second restaurant is more formal where breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are served occasionally"à table d'hôte". The food is likely mediterranean but you can also enjoy local dishes and, of course, daily fresh fish delivered from fishermen from villages in the neighborhood.
Favorite Dish: They will give you full meal, from starter, first course, main course, to dessert. Ugh, so full! :)
Besides dinner in the restaurant, we spent the night by swimming on the beach - especially when it's full moon! Swimming, chatting, gossiping, snacking, drinking wine, gossiping, swimming again...
Dress Code: Bikinis!
I do not have enough words to explain why this diving center is so special!
To begin I'll say that I naver have enjoyed diving as I have here!
The diving staff do everything save diving for you: they come to collect your equipment at your bungalow, they rinse it after every dive, they load it and unload it on/from boat when you go diving, they set up the equipment on the tank and the only thing you have to do is put on your suit, and jump into the water and enjoy! After the dive, you get off your BCD, with the tank still attached, your fins and your wight belt and the crew take all onboard for you, so you can climb with only your suit on!
There is a lot to be said also on behalf of the dive-masters and guides! They are so good at spotting the smallest hyppocampus, nudibrach, the strangest fish that you could never see by yourself, as it resembles everything but not fish!
The diving has also 5 very, very confortable diving boats.
Just try and let me know!
Equipment: We always bring all our equipment from home (not the tank and wights - lol) - that's why I do not know the prices, but you can rent everything directly from the diving.
When u are not a certified diver - while ur other friends are, u can join the divers boat to do the snorkeling.
Or, sign up yourself to go by regular boat for snorkeling arranged by the resort, daily at 8.30 AM & 3.30 PM for free.
Equipment: Mask, snorkel & fins can be rented for free in Dive Center, ask a coupon in reception.
North Sulawesi has one of the best diving spot in Indonesia. If you have dived in Bunaken, then the next dive would be in Gangga & Bangka islands. It's good for photographing the macro sea lives.
Equipment: Equipment can be hired from the Dive Center
