If you have some extra time in Jakarta, you may wish to go diving outside of Pulau Seribu (1000 Islands) for a weekend. This short dive trip involved taking a ~2 hour boat ride out of a marina in Jakarta early in the morning on Saturday and spending the night in a island resort (Matahari Resort), which in itself was the island, all of a 5 minute walking lap. After three dives on Saturday and two on Sunday, it was time to take the return boat back to Jakarta. The facilities were not extravagant, but were comfortable. Diving likewise was not the best of the world, but beats a good day at work any time. Waters were warm, visibility was ~30ft due to heavy plankton and currents, but that just made the soft corals and small reef fish that much more healthy. There were lots of smaller reef fish and schools, health soft corals, and active nocturnal critters during the night.

We can rent kayak for 30,000 rupiah single and 40,000 rupiah double for 30 minutes.
Or rent a Jet SKi 150,000 rupiah for 15 minutes. We couldn't afford the Jet Ski and opt for kayaking instead :)

There are 3 good spots where you can snorkel around Sepa.
1. on the beach near Sepa, the left part of the beach where Guritas Cottages was located
2. in Pulau Perak - 10 minutes by boat from Sepa
3. Taman Karang - Near Pulau Sepa kecil
It is best to snorkel in the morning where the wave isn't so strong. I was snorkeling at 3 pm in Pulau Perak and Taman Karang. It was pretty hard going back to the boat as I was swimming against the waves.
I knew those spots from Pak Manaf, local villager. We rented his boat for snorkel trip. He even accompanied me snorkeling and show me where the good corals were. A very nice guy.
Equipment: Better bring your own Mask, snorkel and fin.

You can find many of water activities. From banana boat, jet-ski, kayaking 'till sepeda air [bicycle on the water].
Equipment: Rent at the front desk of Pulau Bidadari. The fares are different, such as Rp 60,000 for jet-ski [5 minutes], Rp 30,000 per person for banana boat [10 minutes], etc.

Rent a canoe or kayak, start from the floating suite, around Pulau Bidadari and back to its base-point. Rp 30,000 for 10 minutes and get wet :)
Equipment: Just rent all of the equipment and put your sandals at the locker there.

If you go in a big group, you can play this tug o'war nearby sandy beach. Or join other group and play this. Really fun!!!
