To get to Tidung island you can go to Muara Angke harbor in north Jakarta. There are some boats that will transport you to get to the thousand islands. The boat to Tidung island if I am not mistaken is only once a day so if you miss it, you have to wait the next day. The cost for the boat is $3.5 one way. From Tidung island to Jakarta the boat leaves at 7 in the morning. If you go in a big group, you can also rent a boat that you can use to go around between islands. Rental price is negociable.

Its very seasy to get to PL Rambut.
The option that we chose was Driving from jakarta to Tanjung pasir. It must be around 35/40 Km Drive. The roads are very very bad tho.
Once you get there you have to negotiate with the Local fishermen who will Ferry you.
The boats at first glance look risky.
But once you are in it they are good fun.
In the ferry its around 30 minutes ride.

The boat transfer is part of the package in staying in Sepa. This boat leave from Marina Ancol at 8am. You have to boar at 7.30am
Boat Leaves Sepa at 2pm, arrive in Marina Ancol at 3.45-4pm
The journey can be shaky - is you tend to get sea sickness, swallow your anti sea sickness tablet

The cheapest way to island hop form Sepa is to rent the traditional boat. You can hire the boat for 100,000 rupiah per hour.
I hired the boat owned by Pak Manap and Pak Khatib to go to Pulau Putri and do snorkel trip. They're local Pulau Seribu Villager, living in Pulau Kelapa.

This is how people in Thousand Islands get from one island to another. These school kids are wearing scout uniform on saturdays. Schools are available only In Pramuka Island (Pramuka means Scout). So most the kids in surrounding islands go to school there. I think this is how they got the idea to name the island.

There are 2 types of boat you can find to reach Thousand Islands in the bay of Jakarta. Slowly or fast. Take this one if you want to take several pictures along the way to the destination. And the sea breeze playing my hair and the views enjoyable.

Only in 20 minutes and you can landing at Pulau Bidadari. Compared with the slowly one [40 minutes], this speedboat is hmm, pretty fast!
