Visit Minas #1, the first oilwell of Chevron Pacific Indonesia & the first for Indonesia.
The well is now dry but the pumping unit is still there and running with a memorial dedicated by then President Suharto.

There is only one bank and ATM (Bank Mandiri) in the whole town of Minas and it is inside Chevron Minas Camp.
People go to the capital Pekanbaru to avail of banking services unless you go inside the camp.

Minas is considered the biggest oil field discovery in South East Asia and is being ran by PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia.
