Photo Equipment: If you plan to do under water photography, get the water proof cladding for your camera. SD Cards, memory sticks for the camera. Nirwana Beach resort has a photo studio, but the charges to download all images into a CD is very High.
Miscellaneous: For charging electronic items like camera, handphones etc, it is advicable to bring along suitable adapters for the electrical socket.
Sleeveless or short sleeves tee for the hot and humid weather.
Bermudas or shorts or 3/4 pants for the beach.

Umbrella during the monsoon season which is from November to January. However, it will not neccessary rain every single day during the monsoon... You still can get the sun...

Miscellaneous: There is a very well-stocked minimart in Pasar Oleh Oleh and you can probably buy everything you need for your trip in Bintan over there, including the much needed sunblock. At this minimar, the things are still more than reasonably priced.

A small bag is enough since i think you only need 1 or 2 days in Pulau Bintan.

Miscellaneous: VISA is needed now for entering Indonesia although it was not needed. Checked before enter Indonesia
