Nirwana beach located at Betoampari, not far from the center of the city Bau-Bau. Its a beautiful white sand beach, I felt like in paradise beach, still virgin, clean and tidy.

Located insdie the murhum Palace complex erected by the first Sultan Kaimuddin era which ruled in 1542 - 1566 but the mosque on fire on a revolution in Sultanate Buton. And the mosque built again in Sultan Skiuddin Darul Alam in 1712 after he won in family war.

You can fly to Makassar- South Sulawesi, and then catch small aircraft of Express air http://www.expressair.biz/route.php to Bau-Bau, Buton Island’s capital. You can also fly to Kendari South East Sulawesi, catch fast ferry boat to Bau-Bau, or fly with Susi Air http://www.susiair.com/scheduled_sulawesi.htm. But be warned, their schedule is so unreliable, do not plan connecting flight with it.
I updated info as for January 2010. I checked with Susi Air, they have no longer flight flying in and out to Bau-Bau Buton or Wanci Wakatobi. I don;t know when they renew and reopen the schedule.
