Busses won't look like any other bus you see. Their so called bus is a mini blue van. 2000 rupiah when you hop on whether it's a long or short distance stop.

There is no bus service in Makassar, Ujung Pandang. You either travel around Makassar by their expensive taxis or becak (trishaw). You can rent a becak at Rp 20,000 per day.

getting to Makassar: airplane is the most important and not expensive way!Garuda,Mandala,Merpati,LionAir and other have lot of flights from and to Jakarta, Manado, Denpasar,Yojakarta.
