Favorite thing: See the battleship at the New President's Museum. "KRI HARIMAU" launched to support Irian Jaya freedom mission in 1962.
.
I'm use to living near one of the largest Naval bases, Eleventh Naval District and the Pacific Fleet, in the USA, San Diego bay is full of battleships, aircraft carriers and others, so it was very interesting to see this Indonesian Battleship dry-docked at the museum.
However, the most interesting aspect for me was to learn that Sri's father and mother were freedom fighters when she was a little girl!

Favorite thing: Jakarta offers an abundance in museums. Your best bet for information would be the tourist information desk at your hotel. The Maritime Museum, the Wayang (Puppetry) Museum, the Textile Museum, the Jakarta Museum and Central Museum are all places worth paying a visit.
Fondest memory: Spend a day to visit Bogor! In Bogor you should visit the famous Botanical gardens, dating back to as far as the early 1800’s and founded by British Governor – General Stamford Raffles. Bogor is also home to the Bogor Palace, once the official residence of 38 Dutch and one British Governor – General from 1870 till 1942.
