Favorite thing: not miss a visit to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Miniature Indonesia Park) and Ancol. Make sure, if you can travel by car, drive through 'Central Jakarta' area. Also try to plan a day trip to the Thousand Islands. And... Jakarta's night life is one of the best in SouthEast Asia so please... please... check out the cafes in Kemang area, Tenda Semanggi, and definitely the Batavia Cafe in Old Town area.
Fondest memory: FOOD... FOOD.. FOOD...
you don't have to leave your hotel/motel/a friend's house in order to get late night snack. The shop comes to you... Almost every 10 minutes an array of food sellers pass by, yell their delicacies while spreading its delicious smell. Each vendor has it's own drum, horn, music, or chant to tell people that they are here.

Favorite thing: visit the 'Keong Mas', an imax movie theater shaped like a snail in 'Taman Mini'. The imax theater screens a film about Indonesia which takes audiences canoeing up rivers and climbing volcanoes without even leaving Jakarta or... your seats!
