Cafe Batavia opens 24 hours. This one of my favourite romantic place to have long lingering lunch or dinner. 2 storeys with a grand stairs. This is a place to go whenever you want to impress someone :)
The inside interior resembles Jakarta in the old days....
Food is very good and price is expensive also. Expect to spend four hundred thousand rupiah for 2 people full course

The first time I walked in here if fell in love with the place....
Ever had the feeling you walked into an old movie.
While sitting here you got the feeling Marilyn monroe could turn up to order a white orchid (one of the alcohol free coctails they prepare in this place)...or...a Shirley temple , my favorite sweet drink.
All this tropical wood , soft piano music....classical dressed weighters and these old pictures on the wall. Waauw.
Names on the menu that make you nostalgic.

icecream... a dessert that serves six...served in a large glass...different sorts of icecream.... aaahhh.
(two musts in Jakarta : the Batavia café and Oasis restaurant...if your short in time visit the restaurant first and afterwards go for a drink in the Batavia café and an extra dessert?)
