Jakarta has just become the first city in Southeast Asia to host a Buddha Bar, the hip Paris-based franchise of restaurant/lounges. New wine bars and bistros such as Cork & Screw, Loewy and Birdcage have sprung up to serve a growing middle class and expatriates.

This is the newest yet the trendiest club in Jakarta nowadays. Divided into 3 area, X2 is for electro/trance kind of music, Vintage is for classic disco and Equinox is for R&B music.

Dress Code: No sneakers.

Just pass the reception at Sparks hotel and go straight ahead for about 40 meters and you will be at the door of this nightclub/concert scene. It opened around 9pm and the music was a good band probably from Jakarta.

When the band was having a break the scene was used for striptease(nude dancing)

Give me a glass of wine and I can sit here for hours!!! Pay for a drink of your choice upon entering. There is a couple of plasma TVs around and so you can also enjoy your favourite sports while the band is playing.

This club is by far my favourite club. Band starts to play after 10pm. Good ambience and I really like the way the set up the place. You will need to pay Rp70k for entrance fees which comes with 1 drink.

Best disco in Jakarta, extremely crowded on week-ends and for special events. It has four flours, each supposedly with different themes but its mainly techno played there. The disco is famous for its trashy sides : drug and sex are available very easily. B.A.T.S. has a restaurant that serves Western food. There's a live band that plays every night except Mondays. The place is always crowded and popular with male expats.

There’s a pool table and dart board at the no-smoking upper level where you can chill out before you join the crowd downstairs.

Jakarta’s Russian vodka bar and restaurant with excellent vodka-based cocktails and a lively late night party scene.

Popular with both expats and locals, people dance on table tops, they hold regular theme nights like Hot Latino Tuesdays, Mambo Jambo Wednesdays, Thursday Night Bikini Beach Party (see pics), Thank God It's Friday, Saturday Night Mania and other special events.
