It is very old and still kicking nigtlife spots in Jakarta. Attended mostly mix of expat and also 'ladies' :) They have ladies night! But every night is full with 'ladies', if you know what i mean. So you know the direction ;)

Tanamur - sometimes referred to as the Queen of the Jakarta Discos. It is not what it once was. The crowds are much smaller than they once were, but it is worth a look. Don't bother showing up before 11 PM. Midnight would be even better.
Seedy, smokey and loud, much like the rest of the city.
Dress Code: Men - wear whatever you like
Women - wear whatever most fully displays your best assets

Right next to tanamor this place is quite cool with out door and indoor pool tables, and a small dance floor. Cover charge is 20,000 rp from memory.
Good banter, good beer, about half the girls are 'working'.
Dress Code: casual

Sorry to disappoint you, but both Tanamur, and JJ's closed around five years ago. The night club scene has changed in Jakarta, and is more geared towards wealthier Indonesians than expatriates.

Great atmosphere, really wild party.
Dance shows are staged on a regular basis
Hace a 'House of Blues' atmosphere, looks rundown but isn't

Fully dodgy, but great fun. Plenty of working girls but the expats there can be interesting.
Dress Code: clothes a bonus
