In Jakarta is of course not problem to find a restaurant of local or international themes.
But sometimes it is good, to get a "Hot Chocolate" in exact same well known style like at home in Cologne or Berlin.
So Starbucks Cafe at Jalan Thamrin is a good place to sit at the window near the busy jalan Thamrin and view to Sarinah building. In remembering, it was for me a very good place for a short break and a little snack-
- see the photo, across the street, north side of Sarinah building.
Favorite Dish: The Hot Chocolate...!

The Starbucks Cafe in Soekarno Hatta Airport is very dirty. I would not recommend you to lounge here if you are waiting for your flight as most of the barristas are unfriendly and they don't clear the tables quickly. There were rubbish everywhere on the table as well as under the table making me uncomfortable to have a cup of coffee at the cafe.

but the one in kemang, south jakarta, has a nice interesting building. it's red, so it catch your attention. this kfc also always open even on holidays and until very late especially on weekends.

This is the BEST ribjoint in town. They won't dissappoint if you're used to the Tony Roma's in the USA.Best babybackribs in town. Not just the food, but also the ambiance is the same as in the US. That's I think a big plus for chainrestaurants. You are pretty much assured of the quality and taste of it's food.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Jakarta and I always love to eat here.
So if you are a meatlover, BBQlover or just in need of some westernfood. This is the place to be.
Favorite Dish: Forget about the starters. NEVER try the onion loaf.
Go straight to main courses.Don't even touch the seafood. It's a disgrace.Nothing fresh about them.Duck the chicken.Pass the steaks. There are better steakhouses in Jakarta.Go straight for the ribs.
They have all kinds of ribs..marinated in different flavours. What all these have in common is the tenderness of the babybacks.
I love the sampler. Get 4 different kinds of ribs. This is a serious platter.
If you have some room you can further indulge in the desserts. They are pretty good.

Well, it's a barbecue and grilled resto in the south of Jakarta. Using NZ and US meats with delicious assortments. Cozy place for hang-out at Saturday night. Oh, they have a cool band also --we can ask many many kind of music, from disco, pop. 'till rock.
Favorite Dish: Fried mushroom with tartar sauce

An excellent restaurant if you are a meat eater! Its pretty upmarket and the prices also reflect on that. However the ribs are so good, worth every rupiah you spend!
Favorite Dish: The prime rib of course! And their amazing spinning salad

Yes, Planet Hollywood again.
I think the interior of this American joint looks the same (almost) in every country. Can you tell whether there are any visible difference?
