this is the best indonesian aunthentic seafood restaurant for me. quick service, very yummy seafood n what makes this restaurant different from other seafood restaurant is the price, quite cheap for seafood also for the drinks. for example, if you order tea, you should only pay IDR 100 (free refill) and sweet ice tea for only IDR 500/glass.
when you go here, usually u have to wait for at least 5 minutes to get your seat, cos it's always full. but bcos their quick service, so you dont have to wait for long to get your seat.
the parking lot is always full too. so its better if you park your car in a building area, right beside the restaurant building.
about the portion, basically every portion is for 2 persons. for example, if you order prawn, they usually serve 4 prawns for each portion. if you come with family or group, its better to order more.
the toilet is also clean. so its ok.
since there is no english menu in this restaurant, so for foreigner you should bring your indonesian friend or at least you know some seafood vocabulary in bahasa.
Favorite Dish: udang saus padang (prawn), cumi goreng crispy, kepiting telur (female crab). kangkung (morning glory), ikan bawal bakar (pomfret), actually i like almost all "ikan bakar".

Kelapa Gading is a heaven for food lovers. It's actually a residential area but you can find any kind of food there. My favourite seafood place in Kelapa Gading is: Santai 1001 malam restaurant. The place is very basic: have outdoor and indoor and always crowded on weekend nights
Favorite Dish: Crabs with Padang Sauce
Kangkung belacan
Grilled prawns

Other than famous as shopping place, Kelapa Gading area is also known as place where you can find many good place to eat. Restoran Santai Malam 1001 is one of them. Its specialty is in seafood. This place must be in the 'place to visit list' for those who eat for pleasure.
Favorite Dish: Try their green oyster with spicy sauce (kerang hijau saus pedas) or crab with spicy sauce (kepiting saus pedas). First of all, they have fresh oyster and crab. Then they cook it and blend it with spicy sauce (combination of soya bean sauce, tauco and chilli)
