Indonesia has over 130 active volcanoes, more than any other country on earth. Majority of these volcanoes lie along the topographic crest of the arc's two largest islands - Java and Sumatra. The islands are separated by the Sunda Straits. Krakatau island is located around 2 hrs boat trip from Charita jetty (Charita is located around 3 hrs drive from Jakarta) . Although relatively small when compared to the largest volcanoes along the island arc, Krakatau and its associated volcanoes have shown the capacity to generate highly explosive eruptions.

One of the islands in the Thousand Islands group, Pantara Island is the furthest island from Ancol Marina thus offers the clearest and cleanest water. About two hours by boat from Jakarta, the two islands that made up the Pantara Island Resort offers numerous water sports activities such as diving, snorkeling, swimming, jet ski, glass-bottom boat, and banana boat. The resort also offers two restaurants (coffee shop and Japanese), a discotheque, a movie screening room, and convention facilities.

Situated of the downtown, owned by several friends of mine in Ikatan Karting Indonesia (IKI), like Mr. Djembar Kartasasmita and Bambang B. Sudirdjo. This one is just a brilliant concept; after office hours (05.00 pm), Jakarta becomes crowded and gets traffic jam. Alternatively, yuppies and employees around this area can play karting for killing time. And in the weekend, the whole family can try karting here too.
