Here is the oud-Batavia (Old Jakatra City). This street was main bussines and activity in colonial era. a plenty of buildings relic is stands here. Along the Kali Besar river.

You must see Kali Besar street, its very fascinating and bring you to the past time.

Drawbridge Pasar Ayam

Built in the 17th century with magnificient of dutch-style drawbridge. Its also called Jembatan Pasar Ayam because not far from this drawbridge stands a chicken market (pasar ayam in Bahasa Indonesia). now the bridge no longer functional and as a historical landmark. this drawbrige lying on the Kali Besar (Great River)

Its was a oud-batavia supreme court building, The museum display of painting and scultures of the Indonesia's conteporary artist and the special thing in this museum is the colleciton of Chinese and South East Asian Ceramics.

Open daily from 09.00 - 14.00 hours. except on monday. friday to 11:00 hours, Saturday to 13.00 hours and Sunday 15:00 hours

Book cupboard, Made in Batavia 1747 Reinassance 18th century style with teakwood material. On the left side is God statue and on the right side is a Justice god and in the center decor is describe 14 symbol of court council

Oval Table, Teakwood material with Reinassance 18th century style, used by the east Indies council to decide the punishment.

Sketsel decoration, made from teakwood material. (I love this decoration very impressive and full of arts).

The museum contains wayang puppet from all over Indonesia and other neighboor country such as Malaysia, Thailand and China.

Gedung Museum Jakarta

It was the city hall erected in the 17th century on 1627 and given additions between 1705 and 1715 and the center of old civic which used by V.O.C the ducth goverment ruled the Oud-Batavia City. This museum present old-Batavia history, potrait of governor general, antiques furniture, porceleins, etc.

Open Daily from 09.00 - 14.00 hours except on monday. Friday to 11:00 hours Saturday to 13:00 and sunday to 15.00 hours

Adult Rp. 2.000
