Peak season, specially school holidays season, I have been there on the end of june, in the middle of school holiday season and finding a train and a hotel can be really hard.The photo was taken in indonesian miniatur a nice park where you can spend a few hours away from the traffic of the city but, in this season you will sure find this place full of people and ques!

Be careful of Art Gallery trips packaged with your tour. Chances are you'll be looking at overpriced stuff. If you REALLY like it then go ahead and buy it. If you're into bargains, you'll have to hunt for them. It might be hard to find the real bargains as even the hotel staff may steer you to these galleries. (I'm not crazy about art but when I do buy it's usually not in Jakarta anyway.)

Imagine 23 million souls live in Jakarta. The traffic jam could be pretty bad. Plan your route or get help from the local.

Traffic Jam. Beware to use the main streets; Jalan Sudirman, Jalan Gatot Subroto and Medan Merdeka at office hours (08.00 and 17.00) because this trap will arrest you more than 2 hours!

If u shop in a traditional market you can always bargain. Make the lowest bid possible.

If you want to go to traditional market, make sure you are accompanied by Indonesian friend. If not, they will give expensive prices! You could bargain though.

Bali is very secure. Pethaps there are some pickpokets but during the 3 Weeks I stayed there I never heard a complaint.
