The Plaza Indonesia is a very popular shopping centre at the city area, along the central Jalan Thamrin. You should visit this shopping centre when you are at Jakarta, as there are many shops, restaurants etc. In fact, the Hard Rock Cafe of Jakarta is located at the Plaza Indonesia (see photo), you can drop by for a meal or buy some souvenir at the Hard Rock Cafe shop.

Pacific Place Shopping Centre

The Pacific Place is a huge and new shopping centre located next to the luxurous Ritz-Charlton Hotel in the city area of Jakarta. This shopping centre seems to cater for luxurous and high-class goods as most of the shops here carry branded items e.g. Gucci, Fendi, Coach etc. On the top floors are several restaurants and nice interior decorations.The architecture and design of this shopping centre gives it a very grand atmosphere (probably to live up to its status, and also the fact it is next to Ritz-Charlton).
