Immigration clearance at airport

When you arrive at the Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta International Airport, you have to take note of the immigration clearance because the officer will ask you to show proof of your return air ticket out of Indonesia. If you cannot produce it, you have 3 options. Firstly not to enter Indonesia (which is obviously not what you want), buy the return air ticket at the airport (which may be expensive) or to pay the immigration officer an "administrative fee" (you know what he/she means by that, right?).I was caught with the above situation and decided to pay the "administrative fee". Another foreign visitor at the customs counter next to mine was also caught in the same situation (I think it must have been common). There is no point arguing with the immigration officer as you will never win as he has the "rules and regulations" of Indonesia on his side.However for you, it is best to check with...
