Spend half a day in heaven at Bodyworks Spa

by lindyz

This place can only be described as "pure heaven". Now it was 5 years ago that we were there, so Im not even sure if its still open, but if it is, this would have to be a MUST DO thing while in Bali. We saved this luxury up for our last day in Bali and it was a lovely way to end our holiday, all relaxed and pampered.I cannot remember the exact address, but any taxi will know where to go. In 2004 we paid 20,000 one way from Legian to Seminyak. We spent 4 1/2 hours at Bodyworks, and had a manicure, a 2 hour massage, a facial and a hair cream bath, and it cost about $80AUD, which is dirt cheap compared to Australian prices, but slightly more expensive than most massage/spa places in Bali at the time - BUT WELL WORTH IT!

Indonesia on my mind

by aubrey_88

Every island has something interesting to offer. I have been to Bali (Grand Hyatt, Ubud, Kuta), in Sulawesi (Makassar and Tana Toraja), Java (to Jakarta, Jogjakarta, Surakarta) and I can say I haven't seen much of Indonesia. Dubbed as the world's largest archipelago, this interested place on the equator has a whole lot of things to keep you awed, mesmerized and would make you come back for more sites and adventures.....

Bali Safari Park

This is well worth the trip. You can do a variety of things here. The safari journey is great. All the restaurants there are fabulous. The restaurant opposite the lions is really good. The kids waterpark is fantastic espcially if you have little ones.

"Jabotabek"- looking around in Greater Jakarta

by ullfri49

Arriving in Indonesia shure you will find in an overgreat City the "Ibukota Jakarta"with all this problems of the great citys around this world now..But if one has time it is worth to take the time for a view around - Jakarta and the nearby citys Tangerang Bekasi, Bogor (JABOTABEK) have many sights- for first is seems they are one city. So try to see the much differences and that was is same and which holds this great city area together.Coming around it is quick seen that there is not only "one" center - in and around has many little urban centers- like here in south Jakarta in area Cibubur at the photo.

Hiking Up The Ones Of World's Most Active Volcano

by olenx

Drive from Yogyakarta city to northern slope of volcano Merapi, then Hiking up to the Peak of Merapi's Peak via small village of Selo in midnight to capture sunrise and better weather on peak. Normally It take you 4 hours to reach the peak from starting point at Selo. The best place to take break on the mid way up and recover the energy is in Pasar Bubra,a stony and wide area under shadow of Merapi's Peak. You need just 1 hour to reach the peak from PasarBubra. On peak discover the crater, take amazing view surrounding.Merapi is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, this reputation make your trip to the peak so special. Although there are many travelers want to visit the Merapi's Peak, but not all of them have a chance, so they only see and admire the volcano from far distance, from hotel window, via TV and photo or video. So if you have chance, I recommend Merapi's Peak, never...

Fee Javanese market life

by sukalejong

While in Solo, why dont you visit Pasar Klewer, not far from Keraton. You will see Javanese market life, and try some local snack like cenil (made from casava flour, taste sweet), grontol (made from corn, salty-sweet), intip (burnt dry rice, taste salty and sweet), etc.It is a place to buy batik, and the price is cheap. Even you feel it's already cheap enough and you dont need to bargain.

Arjuna Wiwaha Statue ...

by Onedragon

when you see this Cool statue will see that it is Arjuna about to fight his half-brother Karna on the Kurusetra field .. .Arjuna was a master archer and played a central role in the conflict between the Pandavas and their adversaries, the sons of Dhritarashtra known as the Kauravas. To begin with, Arjuna was reluctant to take part in battle because of the slaughter he knew he would cause in the enemy ranks, which included many of his own relatives. He was persuaded by his charioteer and close friend Lord Krishna, to change his mind. Their dialogue about issues involved in war —courage, a warrior’s duty, the nature of human life and the soul, and the role of Gods—forms the subject of the Bhagavad Gita, one of the key episodes in the epic Mahabharata. He also played the key role in killing Karna, his arch-rival, in reality an unknown brother, on the side of the Kauravas. Glad I was...

BALI

by Alicia_Ward

BY FAR THE BEST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN! THEY'VE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES, PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER EUROPE TRAVEL THERE. I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FOOD. JUST BECAREFUL BECAUSE THEY USE NIGHT SOIL TO GROW THEIR FOOD. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WERE THE LOCALS PESTERING YOU TO BUY THINGS. THEY'LL JUST WALK UP TO YOU AND BEG YOU TO BUY SOMETHING. IT WASN'T THAT BIG OF A DEAL BUT IT WAS A LITTLE ANNOYING. OH, DON'T GET A TATTOO EITHER,.. UNLESS YOU WANT HEP A-C.ASIDE FROM ALL OF THAT, IT WAS GREAT. I'D GO BACK TOMORROW IF I'D THE CHANCE TOO!

THE SUNSET

by pangtidor

I believe most travelers love to see sunset wherever they are, like I do. If you love sunset, Indonesia will be the perfect place for you. Thousands of islands will give you thousands of magnificent sunset panoramas. You should ask the local people where to get the beautiful sunset view, unless you will travel to the middle of an island where you are far away from the ocean. Some people love to see sunrise, but I would prefer the sunset. Bring torch with you in case you will stay longer at the beach, put some insect repellent on you to get rid of the insects, and be sure you know the way back to your accommodation if you are alone.
