Don't buy everything that is offered to you. Shop around and get a good price. Most of all don't be scared to barter otherwise you'll end up spending double than what you need to!!!
If you're buying wooden objects, be sure to sniff them beforehand! A lot of street sellers use boot polish to hide scuffs and marks.
The Kuta beach, Bali, is completely destroyed by all the tourists. It is nice to go partying there, but I would not recomend swimming!
