Bandung Nightlife

Every saturday night, teenagers and youngsters are hanging around at Jalan Dago. The street stretches from Holiday Inn Hotel in the south and a few blocks to the north until Simpang Dago. The street is crowded with modified cars with loud music. Don't bring your own car if you don't want to get stuck in a traffic jam. Just walk and watch these hip-hop youngsters. There are some cafes and chic restaurants in the street that you can sit in. Don't forget to buy some grilled sweet or hot-chili corn that is sold at the street stalls. The party usually lasts until midnight.

Very nice athmosphere. It does have a pretty big area with big sofas. They mostly serve desserts and coffee. I'd recommend go in the afternoon when it's still not too crowded. This cafe is located in an outdoor mall called the "Cihamplas Walk" or "CiWalk" for short. It's a very nice place to relax a bit after walking in the mall.

This place does get packed in the evenings. Especially on weekends. Reservation is recommended if you come in a big group. The place does have a relaxing athmosphere with dimmed light, but it does get a little loud since the place is packed. We went in a big group, and they did not have a big enough place to fit us all, so we kinda had to squeeze in a corner. As for the food, it's just regular. Try the banana pizza, it's pretty good.

If you like being in a crowd to hang out and watch people, this is a good place to be. But if you're looking to relax and enjoy nice conversations, it might not be suitable for you.
