Rainy City

Favorite thing: It is a rainy city. In rainy season, you better be ready with umbrella and rain coat. Since Indonesia is tropical country so the weather is fine but of course wet when it is in rainy season.

Food are same but the famous and favoriteone is called Asinan Bogor. It is vegetables or fruits mixed with vinegar and ordinary chili. Some people made it with small chili - very pungent and spicy one. Gosh, sour and spicy but very fresh. Good for someone with cold...he2.

Poor but friendly.

Favorite thing: Walk! Get away from the streets with traffic. Explore the kampungs (poorer housing areas).

Fondest memory: "Hey mister, come into my house."
The house is simple and sunny. The family is friendly. And when you move on, someone else will say, "Hey mister, like to visit the mosque, or the mall, or the mountain?"

Favorite thing: Speaking about Bogor means opening an old history. Since this city is designated for a vacation place by the Dutch, beside Bandung. No wonder that Sir Stamford Raffles gave an order to build a botanic garden here. Also former President Soekarno built his Summer Palace at Bogor. Later on, Indonesia Government open a Safari Park nearby Bogor. So fresh in our lungs and it's become a destination for rafting lovers too.

Fondest memory: Old building are everywhere in the city. Like my impression about Bandung, walking around Bogor in rainy days make me feel this city is out of Indonesia. Just like a small town in somewhere at Europe.
