Becak is similar to rickshaw. You hop on the 'wheeled chair' and the driver will cycle the becak around for you. It cost you from Rp 5000 to Rp 20 000 (depend on your first offering to the becak driver, well you can negotiate the price as they are no official price for becak)

Ancient Tombs

I was advised by the Magna Restaurant owner not to go there. I forgot the name. There will be many people and children that will crowd around you and pulling you to give them money. The problem is when you start giving, many will come. But if you don't, they will be angry with you and perhaps insult you in their language. I knew I was being insulted by some guys that came up the bus and beg for money in Jakarta.

Unique Suggestions: Have bodyguards.

ancient_traveler 919 reviews

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The city weather is hot and humid. Wear cotton clothes. You do not need long sleeves shirt, instead a T-shirt and knee-long trousers are comfortable. Some places like mosques (masjid) and temples require polite dress such as long trousers/skirts. Hot pants/mini skirts will attract people attention and might be considered impolite.

Indramayu Fisherman

The three neighboring cities of Balongan, Cirebon and Indramayu are known for their fishing. If you can manage it when the boats are beached, wonder around and look at the boats, their colorful paint jobs and their fresh catch drying in the sun.
