How to get to Pangandaran and Batu karas

by indri Written May 8, 2012

    Hi,

If you come from Jakarta, then you better go straight to Kampung rambutan bus terminal. There's direct shuttle bus from the airport (DAMRI) pay for IDR 20K. then from Kampung rambutan bus terminal, take bus to Pangandaran. But latest bus is at 8PM. the cost will be around IDR 60-80K. Or another option, take bus to tasikmalaya and from there, there's small bus to Cijulang where the bus will lead you closer to batu karas.

If you need further information and direction, you may inbox me, and i would be happy to help you.
Happy traveling and enjoy Indonesia :)

    Minibuses To Pangandaran

by RoyJava Updated Jul 17, 2010
    minibus-pangandaran

Pangandaran lies more or less halfway between Bandung and Yogyakarta or Dieng. Banjar is the turn-off point on the Bandung-Yogya rail and road route. Coming from Central Java, an alternative is by train and bus all the way to head for Cilacap and make the very nice backwater trip by boat (prahu) from there to Kalipucang, 17 km north of Pangandaran.

From Jakarta you can bus directly to Banjar (via Bogor and Bandung). Buses depart every hour until about 11 pm (from Bekasi bus terminus). It's a good idea to take the night bus (less crowded and faster). Watch your gear at this night run. By train showing your Student Card to the stationmaster you might get a cheaper ticket plus a reserved seat. Getting a minibus expect bad road conditions and bridges down!

    night rider!

my tickets to and fro pangandaran (c) ukirsari

it's a night rider [not knight rider a.ka. kitt for david hasselhoff :) ] journey that i choose due to the limited time. so, take a sleep on the way to pangandaran and night sleep in the other bus after reach the destination.

    so my itinerary as follows:
19.00 leaving jakarta [from bekasi bus terminus]
    03.45 reach pangandaran, west coast
04.00 - 18.30 enjoy sunrise is east coast, visit nature park, traditional and fish markets, beaches, green canyon, surfing area and countrysides
19.00 leaving pangandaran [to kampung rambutan bus terminus]

for me, it's still enjoyable since take aircon buses and there's no cigars smokes around. and opportunity to try local food at the buses' rest area. i bring my lovely saroong to feel like home. also one of my teddies ;)

    Rent a....

    He rented a bike!

Despite the picture , this is no joke...
For no money you can rent a bike or a
    motorcycle.

The advantage is that you are in no time on
a more relaxed and desolate beach. :-)

40 000 Ir is the standard price for a day ,
but you can bargain if it is very quit that
    period. (for a motorcycle)
