Luggage and bags: Especially Bandung people love to visit Pangandaran during weekends and holidays. A lot of accommodations, restaurants, souvenir shops, recreational facilities, so find yourself a good accommodation, and bring just your city backpag to travel around (belly-belt or small rucksack to keep your travel informations).

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Lightweight cotton clothing, pay attention not to wear green in your clothes. Good footwear is important (for the Green Canyon), hat, sunglasses.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sun-protection cream (!!!), and tissues, (wet towels). Indonesia is endemic with hepatitis, dengue & malaria fevers, with some parts having Japanese encephalitis, so get your shots & have some medical insurance cover, to get you home in the event that you get ill. Cholera outbreaks are not uncommon in the "dry season" & as this is transmitted by water, ensure you use only bottled water!

Photo Equipment: Bring extra battries, and digital memory as its hard to find these items locally. Fuji is the best you can get there (supply is rather new, others could have been damaged by sun-heat).

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Have a supply of sun-protection cream, first and foremost. And trekking around and wanna stay on the beach (not that good idea!), bring a sleeping bag, mosquito-proof tent and electric torch.

Miscellaneous: Pangandaran is more the Kuta-style resort, still try to be nice to local people. Take your books, sarung, and a musical instrument (when playing). People love to hear your playing ... also in Pangandaran!

River-Boat-Trip, Pangandaran
