Shirley specialised in selling local delicacies from padang likce crackers/chips, serunding and dried rendang. Most of the products sold here are sourced from home industries in and around Padang.
What to buy: Local delicacies such as crackers/chips, serunding and dried rendang.
I suggest you walk in tradtional market and find something interests you.
What to buy: There is really nothing much to buy here in Padang, though it's commercial and political centre in West Sumatra Province. However, some local Indonesian stuff do worth buying. For instance, a leaf hat is very different from the one here in Taiwan or, say, the other countires in Asia. Another thing that is good is local women dress, for each costs about USD30 and up. I also bought two post cards in the airport, and each cost me Rph2,000. What a nice souvenir indeed. Oh, as a Coke fanatic, I bought a can and a bottle. This trip, I am content with what I have already.
