sawahlunto is a small city with approx. 60,000 people. it was a coal mining city before they started to convert mining facilities into museums on early 2000's. you will never to find a city like this in indonesia currently; small, clean, cool air and walkable cities with friendly people. obviously you can't buy anything there but time.
